Mary Raven discovered her love of massage in the summer of 1993 while she was studying music at a summer music program. Her uncle, a massage therapist, had previously taught her a few massage techniques. That summer she tried them out on her musician friends; after hours spent practicing for many days, their hands and arms were quite achy and sore. Mary's friends loved her massages, and Mary loved helping melt their aches and pains away!
Mary went on to college, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Then, while serving six years in the Illinois Army National Guard, Mary attended the Chicago School of Massage Therapy and graduated from the 16-month program in 2003 with a diploma in Professional Massage Therapy. She's been a happy and busy massage therapist ever since!
